President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the funeral of Sergeant Emre Baysal, a martyr who was martyred in the attack on the Turkish Armed Forces forces by the regime members in Idlib. The painful family of the martyr, relatives, AK Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtümüş, Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya, Istanbul Police Chief Mustafa Çalışkan, Pendik Mayor Ahmet Cin, Kartal Mayor Gökhan Yüksel, military personnel and Many members of the police and citizens also attended. President Erdoğan made condolences to the painful family at the funeral. Sergeant Emre Baysal, a 25-year-old martyr, was sent off on his last journey accompanied by prayers. Citizens who attended the funeral shouted slogans such as “martyrs do not die, the homeland is not divided”.

Addressing the people at the funeral, President Erdoğan said, “We wish God's mercy to our martyr Emre, who is in the crucifix, at the moment. We know that our martyrs are neighbors to our beloved lover Prophet. Our precious mufti has just said all that needs to be said. The gospel of our Lord is clear. "Do not say that those who were killed in the way of Allah are not dead, they are alive but you cannot know". Our brother Emre is calling out to us in this way. As we are struggling for the homeland in the way of Allah, we have made our brother and sister, Emre, who died as a martyr, and you made your martyrdom with the most magnificent sada. He does not need it, but as a Muslim, it is an expression that we only reveal with the benevolent heart. Now we are seeing him off to the great authority. Now, in Syria, maybe in Libya, maybe in many different places, we will continue to fight the same way in the past, just as we have struggled in the past. We should know that the hill of martyrs is never empty, it will not be empty. With this understanding, if you squeeze the soil that will gush out in the doubt, whether the dearest will take all my existence, Hüda should not let me say that he was a dwarf from my only homeland and Akif deceased, he said this with this understanding. When you squeeze from this soil, it is the land that will squirt in doubt. These lands are not ordinary lands. Otherwise it becomes land. But when the martyrs are kneaded with their blood, it will be the land where the cheer is gushing. ”

The funeral prayer of Martyr Specialist Sergeant Emre Baysal was performed following the afternoon prayer. President Erdoğan gave shoulder to the coffin of the martyr who moved to the funeral vehicle after the prayer. After the prayer, the funeral of the martyr was buried in Sancaktepe Old Newborn Cemetery.
